outside seating with a view across the square under the refreshing breeze of a couple of ceiling fans. You are always greeted with a warm welcome and
shown to a beautiful decorated table.
Kan Zaman is not only known around El Gouna for its great tasting Egyptian cuisine and great value, it is also known for their amazing customer service.
You are shown a selection of both Egyptian favourites and some simpler options with generous portions whatever you choose. Fear not if you don’t understand the menu, the staff are all very experienced in dealing with customers who don’t quite know what to choose and have been proven to provide excellent advice on their dishes.

- Famous Lamb Shank: some say it’s the best lamb shank ever!!!
- Baba Ghannoug: A condiment made with Eggplants, chickpeas, lemonjuice, salt, pepper, parsley, cumin and oil. Served with Egyptian bread.
- Molokkeyyah: Green soup prepared in various styles, wherein the mallow leaves are very finely chopped with ingredients such as garlic and coriander added to give it a characteristic aromatic taste.
- Vine leaves: Grape leaves cooked and stuffed with rice, meat and spices. Served as a starter or main.
